The business info is misleading in that the noise level is not average. I was in there for lunch 7/20 and the music was blasting. For me, this was not a relaxing place to have lunch. I complained to the salad maker but she did nothing to correct the problem. The customer's comfort should take priority over the amusement of the staff. About two-thirds through my slice and salad (excellent, by the way), the volume appeared to get lowered, but by that time my ears could have been desensitized. What good is fine food if the environment causes indigestion? Will definitely rethink good old Ian's.
