Neat place! Awesome concept! I'm more of a wine drinker rather than a beer drinker so finding a wine bar is a huge win for me. After an early dinner at Pusadee's Garden across the street, the hubby and I stopped in for a drink. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a joint in Lawrenceville: eclectic, yet hip. Most of the menu is wine but they also have a decent selection of beers and spirits. During our visit, they were featuring wines from Portugal and you could get two half pours for $8, which I opted to do. The hubby got a cocktail: the Jaguar. I'm no wine connoisseur so I haven't much to say about my wines aside from they were good! The Jaguar was sour from the lime with earthy undertones and it was hella strong. One of those was enough to get him a little tipsy and he is not a lightweight. The really neat thing about the Allegheny Wine Mixer that I unfortunately did not get to try was the selection of cheeses, meats and little snacks. Definitely a thing to keep in mind when coming here: come with a small appetite to try out their finger foods!
