One may not necessarily think about putting a cemetery at the top of a sightseeing list, and I feel a bit weird saying this, but some of the best places I've visited in certain cities were cemeteries. Go ahead and judge. This particular cemetery was especially incredible, and should be a definite stop on your trip to Cleveland! We stopped in at the main office before we toured, and the most delightful woman not only gave us a map, but an in depth overview of the history and different things to look at given our limited time. She also said next time we were back that we could give them a call in advance to arrange a free tour. So sweet! From the Cleveland statue to the chapel complete with Tiffany glass, this place has so much to see. I highly suggest grabbing some breakfast and carving out a couple of hours to walk around. The guides posted inside the different sites were very knowledgeable and gracious hosts, answering all our questions about the location and even providing some tips on other things to see in Cleveland.
