My husband and I stopped in for brunch and to peruse the fresh foods offered for sale. I love going to Farmer's Markets. I had just gotten off work as I work overnights, so on the way home from dropping my son off at his day program, we decided to stop and check this market out. We weren't disappointed. It is held at the North Phoenix Baptist Church on Bethany Home Road. There is plenty of parking at this market and the market itself is pretty expansive.
My stomach was telling me it was time to eat, so I went in search of some food. I located a stand that serves omelettes, egg sandwiches, and tacos. The stand is called "Shrimp Vechie Man."
I ordered the crab and shrimp omelette. It is made to order. I watched the chef make it. He uses fresh ingredients. I couldn't wait to take that first bite. I sat underneath an awning the market has set up for people to sit and eat their delicious dishes/finds.
From that first mouthwatering bite to the very end....I couldn't stop eating, it was that good.
My husband ordered a breakfast burrito from Sergio's Kitchen and Cartel Coffee. He enjoyed his food as well. We visited several vendors and purchased fresh vegetables from McClendon's and gluten free food from Raimondo's Italian Cuisine as our daughter loves their food--she has Celiac Disease and this is one of the few places at the Market where she can enjoy some freshly prepared dishes.
The market is there on Saturday's and Wednesday's from 9 am to 1 pm.
We will definitely be returning because there is so much to see with a large variety of vendors.
