Stayed three nights here for a workshop. The location is perfect--probably the best-located hotel in downtown P'burgh. It's right on the Roberto Clemente bridge, so the baseball stadium is a straight shot across and there are several good restaurants and performing arts venues an easy walk from the hotel. The lobby is nice, with a giant purple-hued dome hanging over it. The bar is off to the side and is pretty ho-hum. Check-in was easy. The room was comfortable enough if nothing special. My primary complaint was that there was nothing in the way of an entry, at least in my room--as soon as you open the door, you are in the middle of the room with the bed right there. The entry to the bathroom is on the opposite site and the closet door is flush with the wall, so there's nothing to make you feel kind of tucked away. Bed was comfy, bathroom pretty large, closet pretty small. TV and WiFi worked well. A large percentage of the rooms here are on the inside of the hotel's U shape and will only have views of the rooms across on the other arm of the U. (Though I could stand at the window and look across into the baseball stadium.) The rooms on the other side are pretty close, so make sure to keep the curtains drawn when you're down to your foundation garments or less. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but I assume the same kitchen did our workshop food, and it was pretty strong for a corporate-type buffet.
When I was there, one of the three elevators was down for maintenance and it led to huge backups and crowded cars with a whole conference always trying to be at the same place at the same time. I got kind of tired of trucking up and down between the meeting rooms and my guestroom on the 8th floor, but I guess it was good for my step count. The main meeting room has a great view over the river, but is kind of wide, so that the people on the other side feel very far away. There are also some sightline issues with columns.
