On a recent busy weekend evening, when I complained that I'd waited 15 minutes for the appetizer, apparently a head waitress curtly informed me it "had only been 10 minutes, I know, I timed it". When I questioned this unbelievable response, she gave me "an excuse me?". I almost walked out. This woman should have been fired on the spot.
The food is good, but on the night I was there, the service was rushed, impersonal, rude (see above), and not appropriate for the pretentiousness of the menu.
Todd's is a welcome change from Strip mega-restaurants, but the space on weekends is too small, the servers can be harried, and the experience less than optimal.
The prices are high, which probably give the average Henderson/Las Vegas diner some comfort that are truly dining high-end. However, gourmet dining involves more than a creative, expensive menu. It must also include a comfortable, relaxed space: my seat was under a very cold vent which was slow to be turned down even after I complained. Comfort is not something the customer should have to ask for at these prices! The servers should be relaxed and confident, but mine was harried and inexperienced. The kitchen was slammed and pretty far behind.
Hey Todd, remove some tables, add some senior servers and tell them to slow down and relax, don't rudely confront the guests when the kitchen is under pressure, and Todd's would be a better place, especially during high volume times.
As stated by an earlier review of Todd's (see below), the thing this tight little place is lacking is ambience and genuine warmth.
