Avoid Avoid Avoid! Sears Home Installation sent out Union Plumbing to install a water softener. After not showing up for 48 hours due to a "miscommunication between Sears and Union Plumbing", the plumber finally showed up, looked at the pipe, said he couldn't install until the following week because he "was not allowed to carry that kind of fitting". One would think when going into new construction to install a water softener with a pre-plumbed loop, you'd either ask what kind of pipe was pre-plumbed, or carry the fittings since all new construction uses a certain type of pipe. He also wanted to charge me an additional $90 on top of the $290 I had pre-paid to Sears. He said I might be able to get Sears to refund part of that $90 extra fee. Both Union Plumbing and Sears Installation have the lowest standards in customer service.
