Downtown Cleveland was depressing the summer I visited Jacobs Field. Lots of boarded up businesses, and the ones that were operating were closed shortly after the end of the game. Jacobs Field is definitely the highlight of the area, and a great place to catch a game. The Indians' faithful fans are friendly, and they know the game of baseball. Very family-friendly park.
