My wife chipped her front tooth. The dentist took her in and took x-rays. After all that was done he finally spoke to her.
He basically told my wife that he had to completely remove all her teeth and give her dentures. My wife is 29 years old, and this was the only option he was sticking with. My wife asked about taking the tooth our and putting in a fake one, the dentist told her that it is useless and that all her other teeth will rot out.
After that consultation my wife was depressed because she thought this was the only option for her.
I'm not sure if it was the type of insurance we had or what his reasons were to say we had to take all her teeth out but it was not the only option. We consulted with 3 other dentists and we finally found someone who said all their findings were unnecessary.
It makes you think twice before sticking to one dentist.
