Because Apple created garbage batteries that would not hold a charge they were forced to do something for the general public so they knocked a little money off of an already overpriced fix... A multi billionaire organization... Beyond disgustingI would just like to say that working with Apple was the biggest waste of time that I have ever experienced in my life. I was told By a person on the phone that could barely master the English languageThat they would order the battery and let me know when it was in then I was to go To the Shadyside store to have it replaced. after waiting an hour to even get to the desk I was told that I had a come back after it was fixed so I had to go and find something to do for two hours... After two hours fighting the crowd back to the desk I was told that my phone was done... Only to be told that they noticed a drop of moisture in my phone therefore I could have a battery because it would be a hazard... He then offered to sell me a new phone... This was the most counterproductive disgusting experience I have ever had. So for four solid hours my time had absolutely no value to these people. I was never told anything like this could happen. I was told that if I went into the store after waiting a week for the battery that they would just replace it. This is a money hungry shyster sketchy situation. My phone has lived in a water resistant OtterBox it's whole life so I do believe that they lie. I do not trust this company I am disgusted by the whole damn thing. Thank you for nothing Apple you suck... The little pompous assholes that work at the store look like little Stepford millennial's and I have absolutely no patience or people skills.When this piece of crap phone finally dies I will never ever buy an Apple
