I want to love this place -- I really, really do.
But...
The bartenders rarely seem to stray from the menu -- and this is exactly the kind of place that should allow them to. Let them shine -- I live in downtown Phoenix and I want a great cocktail, dammit! I've tried probably 70% of the drink menu, and they're all decent - but I want to be taken somewhere totally different by a bartender who knows his/her stuff and isn't afraid to share it!
As for food, the roast beef sandwich is very good, as is most of the menu. They've got a manually operated prosciutto slicer that will capture the attention of any good foodie.
Come on, Hanny's -- step up and shine!
