Hello, I went to a cooking class last Friday night at Sur La Table in Fashion Square. The class was supposed to be from 6:30 to 8;30 but it was after 9:00 P. M. before we ate the meal we prepared and quite honestly the meal itself was the biggest disappointment. Even though all the ingredients suggested a fine meal, the taste of each item, be it the salad, or main course, left a whole lot to be desired. Now you can blame the cook (s) however i think the receipe must not have called on one key ingredient...FLAVOR. And to think i paid $75 for each person, there were two of us, I could have had a far better meal for much less at one of Scottsdale's finest. And what made matters worse, is standing on your feet to eat what you had helped prepare after 2 1/2 hours of preparing the meal. The sum total experience was simply not worth the price of admission and they really should bring in tables for their customers to use for dining and not expecting people to stand with plate in hand. My recommendation: The event made for an interesting date night but..the food and preparation itself, the lack of seating, made it an expensive regret.
