The dentist never actually came in the room. I got his "diagnosis" secondhand via the hygienist or assistant. I was in the waiting room longer than I was in the chair. They also were supposed to call the dentist to ask a question about the previous dental work I had on the tooth I was there for. Instead, they came back with the amount I owed the previous dentist! I'm pretty sure them being all in my billing account at my previous dentist violates HIPAA.
