On a 15 hour layover I decided to stay in old Montreal. I made the reservations through Hotwire and by the time I arrived at the hotel they had not yet checked for any new reservations. On top of that the room was terrible, there was no view and the toilet ran all night and the faucet dripped. When I called to ask if I might be able to change rooms I was informed that I would have to pay an upgrade fee as there were no similar rooms available. The hotel also smelled extremely musty. And since leaving I have realized there had to be mild in the hotel and that is my only environmental allergy and I have not been able to breath through my nose since an hour after I checked into the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
