I stayed at the Cal years ago. It's an older hotel and the rooms are nothing fancy. It's cheap, sure. But now a days you can get a 4 star hotel room on the strip for $60 on PL bidding.
The restaurant downstairs was ok and the cafe is pretty good. This seems to be the place for Hawaii visitors to stay and the only reason why we stayed here, was because we had done a package with Omni and this was the hotel that came with the package.
Wouldn't stay here again, but there are definitely worse places. What can I say, I'm very picky about hotels I stay at.
