Recently had lunch at the Sewickley cafe. I had reasonable expectations of the place, considering its location and atmosphere. Unfortunately, I had a less than satisfactory experience with the food at the cafe. I ordered a coconut shrimp salad, expecting a refreshing, yet filling and enjoyable meal. However, I was greeted with a less than acceptable plate of half rotten lettuce, and I mean the real rotten, slimy kind. I made it known to the waitress, who in all fairness, wasn't at fault in this situation. She didn't even consider making the issue known to the manager or the chef, who was actually to blame. My complaint about the low quality of the food was completely ignored. To say the least, I won't be returning to the cafe any time soon, and it is quite a shame, because, as I have said, the location and atmosphere isn't bad at all. Just the lack of pride and consideration in their own business.
