We used to love Roka Akor and considered it one of the best restaurants in the city. For several years, we went regularly. But the last three visits in 2014 (yes I gave it several chances!!) were so very disappointing. The fish was not fresh. You could see and smell that it was not up to par. On the second of these 3 visits, my husband got sick. He would not return there with me. But I gave it one more chance and went with a girlfriend who is a major sushi foodie and world traveler. When I ordered, I specifically told the server what had happened on the previous visit -- that the fish was not fresh, and asked that they please be scrupulous in giving us the freshest food. But again, the chirashi roll was not fresh. The other items were similarly unworthy. Unfortunately, I'm done with the place.
