If I could give this office negative stars I would. This has been the most ridiculous and frustrating gynecologist office I have ever experienced or even heard of. I came in for a new patient "annual wellness" visit in the fall, the doctor I saw did not perform any exam on me even with all of my family history of problems. I asked about a pap smear and was told "at your age it's not necessary". I was prescribed a new birth control pill at my request for something to help clear up my acne and was given OrthoTricylen with 11 refills. Less than two weeks into taking that pill I experienced horrible side effects so I called the office and was told I would need to come back in to be seen for a new prescription. I came in and saw Rochelle (because shortly after my first visit I was contacted by office staff to tell me the doctor I saw was leaving the office and I would not be able to have future appts with her... this seemed to be news to the office staff I had to schedule this appt with), Rochelle was nice and helpful and I requested to be put back on my original birth control medicine that I had been on for awhile previously that worked great for me. I left not knowing they were only writing the new prescription with 2 refills. The last week of December I called my pharmacy to refill my pills and was informed they'd have to contact my doctor for authorization. That's pretty routine however with this office it's anything but simple!!! They tried on 3 occasions and the request was denied. I called after work on both Thursday Jan 7th and Friday Jan 8th and received the after hours recording even though it was before closing. On Friday the 8th I left detailed voicemail expecting a call back. I heard nothing. On Tuesday Jan 12th I called the office and was told that I could not get my pills refilled without coming back in for a 3rd visit. (this would have been a 3rd visit they would bill me for, which is insane, the billing and insurance practices seem really shady. That first visit I had for the annual wellness visit is covered 100% by my insurance so I have a zero copay, this place charged me for a regular office visit. I called and notified them of the error with the coding and was told it would be fixed. A month later I received another bill that I still owed for that visit. So disorganized.) That associate informed me that the nurse practitioner I saw could approve it without me coming in but the NP was out sick until the 25th. I told her there was no way I was waiting until then to get my pills. She told me she would seek approval from an office manager and give me a call back. Again I heard nothing. I called back on Friday and was told the girl on Tuesday did not seek an office managers approval, she only put in notes to leave a message for Rochelle to approve my refills. The girl (Jenny I think?) on Friday was nice and helpful over the phone, I asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to Roxanne. Roxanne again said that I could not receive my pills unless I came in for a followup appt. I explained that this was ridiculous because I was originally given an prescription for the new pills with 11 refills and then I was switched back to my old pills that have worked fine for 2 years, no need for a followup. She put me on hold and came back saying there was approval for 2 additional refills and confirmed my pharmacy location. That was Friday afternoon. I called my pharmacy over the weekend and again this morning and there was never anything sent over from this office. This is unbelievable. There is no need for someone to be billed for 3 appts in less than 6 months over birth control REFILLS on pills the patient is already familiar with. This is crazy. I would love a call from someone in management that can address this lack of professionalism, communication, and organization. I will be letting anyone and everyone know of how badly this location is ran and how poorly patient's concerns and prescription inquiries are handled. Avoid this office!!! (THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL LOCATION ONLY, hopefully the other locations operate differently. I will be seeking care elsewhere.)
