Tried this little rolled ice cream shop last friday. I dig the concept of rolled ice cream. I regret not trying it in Asia earlier this year when I went. I figured I'd go for it here because Frosty Roll barely had a line and had decent reviews. The shop is small and has no air conditioning currently so it felt like I was standing in a puddle of my own sweat waiting. Each order takes forever because there's only one worker scraping and chopping away at the ice cream machine thing they have. I ordered the "Nutty Canadian" which was like a maple syrup, walnut explosion, but turned out being quite bland. The best part were the maple cookies that I'm sure they don't make in-store. The whole thing was $6, and for the time and labour that goes into making one of these, I don't see how this place makes money. I wish them all the luck though. It's a cute shop, and maybe the other flavours are less blah than what I ordered.
