Got to visit this beautiful trail with Sara S. a few weeks ago. It was her first time at the canyon so we spent a good portion of our day talking and snacking at the picnic area.
It was a beautiful Friday afternoon with temperatures barely hitting the 90s and a breeze so soft, going to a spa wouldn't have been worth it. When we were done with our food, we walked along the rugged sidewalk towards Lost Creek only to find a plump desert rattle snake crossing the road. With a belly as large as he/she had, we weren't too afraid about the possibility of us being it's next meal.
Only problem was, it was headed right for the trail too - with a perfect body camouflage - so we were pretty much on the tip of our toes the whole journey up. Thankfully, we covered the whole trail and got back in one piece.
