I really love LaVida Massage! I have been a student at the U of I for many years and have always searched for the most affordable massages in town, particularly student discounts. I participate in endurance races (i.e. triathlons) and I think massage is a really great way to treat my tired muscles when I am training hard. LaVida opened this summer and was conveniently located close to my home in west Champaign. Their first time massage rate is $39.95 for an hour, which is great. My first massage there was good and I liked the ambiance as well. The waiting area has pretty stone on the wall, the receptionists are always friendly, you can get a heated massage table if you want to, and the music is relaxing.
I believe I received a coupon after my first massage which brought me back for a second massage. I was also interested in their member program since I like to get massages relatively frequently. After my second massage I decided to purchase the membership and am definitely pleased with that decision. It is $49.95 a month for your massage, which is very competitive for the area, and I really appreciate the convenience of making my appointment online. I feel like it is usually difficult to get in contact with other massage places in town, but LaVida does it all through their website if you choose. You can pick the sex of the masseuse, the time of day, and which days of the week are best for you and the system filters your results.
