I try to give healthcare providers as much respect as I can when its deserved. However my son has been a patient at Honor Healthcare hospital Thompson Peak since June 5th 2016 in which he lost his colon has a colostomy bag and almost died at the age of 27yrs because they didn't and still don't know why he's so sick. I'm in the ER with every few weeks due to recurring infection in his stomach. He's now built a tolerance to pain medication and they treat him like a drug seeker. He has enough prescribed oral pain medication of his own to kill himself if he wanted to. With that being said as his mother I force him to go to the hospital when he can't control his pain at home so he doesn't overdose. Obviously there's something wrong when a patient goes to the ER two days in a row with severe pain in his stomach and there's puss draining from it, there on IV antibiotics at home everyday and the doctors send you home and tell him there's nothing wrong. That's how he lost his colon!! They sent him home from the ER here at Thompson Peak hospital and my son ended up going septic. Your probably asking why do you keep going back to the same hospital? Well the answer to that is almost all the hospitals in Scottsdale & Phoenix are all Honor Health hospitals. His surgeon, infectious disease doctor is here, his gastroenterologist is here. So where else am I suppose to take my son when he's really sick? The nurse tonight said that his pain he is experiencing is really more psychological than physical "ARE YOU SERIOUS " She did not just say that?
If we had another option he wouldn't be going to any Honor healthcare hospitals! Wow! It's a crying shame when you have to keep going back to the ER for them to finely say hey! There is something wrong with this young man After spending my Mother's Day here yesterday and they sent him home, now I'm back here again at 3am. My son has had 62 CT Scans in 11mos. He's more likely to die of cancer before they get up off there ass's and find out why my son is so sick. There admitting him tonight because the infection has spread in stomach... "BUT REMEMBER THE PAIN HE CAME IN FOR YESTERDAY AND TODAY IS REALLY ALL IN HIS HEAD SO THE ER NURSE TOLD HIM. "
My heart breaks to see my son so sick and be treated so badly.
