First off, the savory scones. The. Savory. Scones. They're what Red Lobster biscuits might be...maybe...if they were made with real ingredients and love. (My apologies to the baker for the RL biscuit comparison) I come to Lola pretty often because I live in Willo. At first I came to Lola because the closest coffee spot, Roll Over Donuts, closed their Vernon & Central location. Now I come to Lola for the scones. As soon as I spotted the savory scone with bacon and cheddar I had to try it. This is not your typical *cough...Starbu...ahem* scone. It is not a dense floury biscuit. The Lola scone is crispy on the outside and light, fluffy, and bursting with buttery flavor inside. I prefer their savory options, which change daily but often have yummy bits of cheddar throughout, because they taste like breakfast. Get it warmed up and enjoy it with a simple cup of coffee or am Americano. So damn good.
