I went to AA as a first experience with firearms and I was a little nervous!!! Let's be honest, we are talking about weapons that can really hurt someone or worse. I did not check yelp (for once) before heading over so I am really surprised by the comments of others.
I went with my husband, also a beginner, and a friend, an expert. I was glad to go with a person experienced with firearms because there are lots of safety items to go over!
When you walk in, it is very overwhelming. There are soooo many different firearms for sale. We weren't sure where the shooting range was, so we tried to check in at the front counter. This young man was a little rude. We told him we would like to try out the shooting range and his response was "ok." Well?!? Eventually he pointed us in the right direction and we headed downstairs to the range.
The gentleman that helped us there was very formal and professional. He was definitely all business! (Which I appreciated bc it was no joke for me!!) He reviewed the weapon we rented, all the rules and was very helpful with tips.
The actual range was loud! I eventually got used to it and was able to focus. I hit the center of the target by the end of our time at 25 yards. Yeah!
We did have to rent equipment, bullets, ear protection and rent the lane. 55$ which I thought was reasonable.
Will be going back to practice.
