So a coworker joined LVAC recently, and part of his membership was being awarded a few 7 day passes for friends. I took that pass to visit this location today to see if I'd want a full membership. Before letting me in, they kept my driver's license while I had a look around. Of course, they hold your license so that they'd pitch you to join when I was done. No such thing as a free lunch. When I was done looking around, the guy gave a full press hardcore sales pitch about how I need to join today or blah blah blah. I mentally rolled my eyes with disbelief. But apparently, if they do it, it means it must work on some people. Turns out, because of some convoluted corporate insurance requirement, they will not honor the 7 day pass. But he said if I came another day, he'd let me in for one more workout. So that 7 day "free pass" was not worth the blue paper it was written on. Thanks...but I've decided to join Planet Fitness instead.
