GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! Travel + Leisure was wrong about this spa experience. My guess is that the spas pay for the review in the magazine--no one's actually receiving services. I was truly looking forward to being pampered. I had high hopes for this experience--I work hard in my current position and needed a relaxation day and a massage.
The spa is nice. There were a group of five or six women who were exceptionally loud--discussing politics and the recent presidential debate. Everywhere I went in the spa, I would hear them. No one ever asked them to quiet down. There were a few patrons I made eyes with who were less than pleased with the volume and conversation.
The amenities were well appointed. The attendants were very kind.
My massage was perhaps the worst massage I've received...and I went to massage school. So, I've had some really inexperienced hands. I scheduled the deep tissue surrender. It was a Swedish massage with a few frills--coconut essential oil. Manual manipulation of the deeper layers of the fascia was nil.
I cried.
I feel as though I've wasted my time and my money. For the amount I spent, I could've scheduled somewhere off the strip for better service. I had the best expectations. I was profoundly disappointed.
I would NOT recommend the services here. Save the money and purchase the day pass only.
