I was fortunate to have had 2 excellent vets and an extremely caring staff take care of my cat who had a life threatening bladder blockage. I was allowed to see him in the care facility and was completely informed to his condition. He had to spend 2 nights here till he was well enough to transport to my regular vet.
Unfortunately it isn't cheap to get this kind of care so my advice to all pet owners is to save your money for an emergency pet fund if a crisis does occur so you won't have to deny care to your loved one because of money.
