After a long day getting my home ready and a visit to the DMV, I was hungry but too lazy to cook for myself. I haven't had Thai food in a long time, and it turns out Nittaya's is less than 2 minutes from my house. So I drove there to get my grub on, only to find that Nittaya's is packed to the gills. Fortunately, there was a spot at the bar that I was able to squeeze into, and had a good conversation with a Vietnam veteran that I had a lot in common with. Having been to Thailand, my favorite dish is a chicken massaman curry, so that is what I ordered. Plus, I got some chicken pot stickers to whet my appetite. I will say that the menu is quite large, and there is a whole lot to choose from. The pot stickers were excellent. Slight crisp, juicy inside, and the soy dipping sauce made for a perfect bite. Then came my curry. The portions were very generous, and included a big bowl of white rice. Everything tasted exactly as it should, and the curry was the right consistency and flavor. The only thing I could gripe about was that it was not spicy at all, and could have used some heat. Next time I was ask them to bring it. :) Besides that, it's a bit on the pricey side for Thai food, but I enjoyed it and will come back for more.
