DISCLAIMER sad story: we rescued a GSD from Saving Paws Rescue. 2 months in she escaped during a storm from fright in our apartment. Unfortunately she was hit by a car the next day and I had to drive out to pick her up at the spot she was left. I was extremely distraught and calling vets to find out where to put her to rest. Scottsdale Ranch was the 4th place I called as I was on the side of the road holding it together. The first vet told me 400 for cremation and return of the ashes. Another was 260. Another didn't answer. They answered and told me 185. I headed there. They directed me to the side door and had a technician assist me. A week later a very nice card arrived from them expressing their sympathy. This was my first time going to this vet and I had a card signed by 10-15 different people. They called me the next week to pick her up. They use an outside service but explained everything to me. I didn't know what to expect when I went to pick her up but I was surprised to receive this. A box and her paw print. And more condolences from the staff. What stood out to me was they did not try to gouge my pockets during a very stressful and emotional time as the other vets did. We plan to rescue another GSD and I have found my vet for life. Thank you very much.
