This is THE heart of downtown Glendale and it welcomes you with a warm embrace the moment you walk through the door. While it is called a "Country" store, it absolutely has something for everyone. The themes off the top of my head are: Americana, Victorian, Old Southern comforts, Western, Cabin-Wilderness and Modern. I've been a customer for over 3 years now and can attest that the service is beyond great, even to the point where I walk in and they know me by name. And on more than one occasion they have kept an eye out for items they knew I would love. The inventory they have is unbeatable. It's like being back east, there are actual seasons in the store. Each month you can go there and a new season is being featured. Unlike some stores, they keep offering the same décor over and over, Country Maiden has awesome buyers because I went at Easter last year and found some terrific items and when I went back this year - found all news ones! The owner, Cheryl, and her staff are just wonderful. This is one experience you need to put on your bucket list. Oh one more note... Papa Ed's has THE best ice cream and the cones are old fashion yumminess. It's as if they broke out the rock salt and had a party.
