****Note the countless one-star reviews this company has and REQUEST SOMEONE ELSE THROUGH YOUR HOME WARRANTEE Initially I was hopeful after the home warrantee assigned them, but i'm very disappointed with how they handled things. Pruitt's came out on April 25 to diagnose a broken garbage disposal. They sent Paul who notified me via phone that the disposal needed to be replaced and that they would be out for a second appointment Friday April 27th to replace it. Mind you, i have a tenant at this property so scheduling a time that is convenient can be a hassle, but I was happy at least they were getting it resolved without cutting corners. On April 27th the time slot we had was 8 to 12. The tech, Leo, started "blowing up" both my mom's phones (my co-owner) and my phone at 7 am--AN HOUR before the appointment was even scheduled! I felt that was very inconsiderate. I can understand calling at 7:45, but 7 was just a bit much being in the earlier morning. Leo decided, contrary to Paul's opinion, that he could fix the disposal by unclogging a foreign object from it. AFTER SCHEDULING A SECOND APPOINTMENT AND WASTING MY TIME, IT WAS A SIMPLE CLOG. I don't feel like it should take a second plumber to recognize a basic foreign-object-clog. I felt that since they had verbally agreed to replace the disposal, that's what should have happened. He literally had a brand new disposal that they had ordered for me that he refused to install. I talked to Mike, the office manager, and he was rude. He makes the homeowner feel like they are obsolete in the matter and that Pruitt's only concern is the satisfaction of the home warrantee company. He accused me of trying to get a "free disposal." The service fee with my warrantee, alone, is 69 dollars. The Waste King disposal I currently have installed retails for 50 dollars on Amazon, I imagine Pruitt's pays a similar price. Thats hardly free, but if there was not a major profit for them, they were not concerned with the home owners' satisfaction.
