My wedding at Rainbow Gardens was absolutely beautiful. The staff was fantastic especially Marta. We are from Phoenix and we had never seen the venue in person until the day before our wedding and we relied on the photos. Let me just say that if you think the photos are beautiful, you should see the garden room in person. Wow!
We were worried about it being 106F for our June wedding but, it cooled down just enough to feel comfortable. It is slightly humid if you are used to a dry heat but I was totally fine. Will you sweat if you're dancing? Yes... but that will happen regardless so dance away!
There are only a couple things I would change that was: 1) make sure the guests sign in at the guest book. My mother in law had to find it and hand it around at the end of the wedding when people were already gone. 2) We didn't have the card cage that we requested (guests were confused as to where to leave their envelopes).
My only major issue was a misunderstanding with the DJ. I would prefer to just reflect this to the DJ personally but it was a rainbow gardens preferred vendor (I didn't hire directly). We brought our choreographed music on a thumb drive specifically because our dance instructor changed the speed and created a fade out (it was not a full song dance). When the DJ announced our first dance he started playing the standard track (not from our drive), and he began before we were ready, it screeched at the beginning (what was that?) And the speed was off so that threw us off from the get go. It was awful. Like I wanted to cry. As if that wasn't bad, he went to the bathroom after he started the wrong version and we awkwardly stood on the dance floor while our guests were wondering what was going on. Marta tracked down the DJ and he came out and apologized and got our track in. We had a first dance do over but at least it was right the second time.
All in all, I'm so happy with Rainbow Gardens, every single guest told me how beautiful the venue and ceremony was. I will also add that Rev. Mike was wonderful. He gave us a beautiful ceremony. Thank you!
