We've had really good luck with the people at Pete & Mac's. Most recently, we were on a family trip and had left our dog with my husband's co-worker. For various reasons, that arrangement didn't work and we needed immediate alternate plans. My husband was able to coordinate with Pete & Mac's over the phone so they were ready to take our dog when the co-worker was able to drop her with them. They've proved to be flexible and available on short notice, which is sometimes very important for us. It can sometimes take a few minutes to get checked in or out, but the people are friendly and our dog (who is a tad neurotic) seems happy there.
