I always sit at the bar and the $2 plates are fantastic. I used to come here regularly with my infant every other Friday. It was a great little night out for sushi on a budget. Everyone working there was very friendly. When I moved to Mesa I still made the drive out just to eat here. It would get a 5 Star from me however I knocked one star off for poor service. I have ordered takeout a few times in the past when my family came to visit. Everything was great! However, one time we ordered and suddenly our portions were cut in half from what they used to be (these were regular items we used to order) and another item I ordered wasn't made as described on the menu. The server, who I don't recall ever seeing before, and chef had nothing but arguments and excuses. My baby was in the car with his grandpa for an extended time waiting to get this resolved, so we left without getting our fair share of what we ordered. I have only been back once since then. I would not ever order take out again and I still can't bring myself to go there regularly after that incident. While I will still recommend it, I have to suggest the rotating sushi. At least you know what you're getting before you grab it.
