In my opinion, Fiamma is the best authentic Italian cuisine in Charlotte.
I started out with the Fritto Misto
Deep fried calamari, shrimp and seasoned vegetables served with a light spicy tomato sauce. It was a great appetizer. Also the bread with pesto dipping sauce is a great start.
For my entree i had the Vitello Porcini
Veal scaloppini sautéed in porcini mushroom sauce & served with home-made gnocchi al pomodoro. The veal was perfectly seasoned with a mushroom sauce with a good mix of flavors. The gnocchi was perfectly prepared, with a light touch of tomato sauce.
For desert, i had the Ricotta cheese cake with Raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream....it speaks for itself!
