I've been working on numerous home improvement projects and I've been to Lowe's nearly daily for the past few weeks, so I figured it's time I review this location. For the inside of the store, I'd award 5 stars. The store is clean and organized. The employees inside the store are knowledgeable, helpful and will typically walk you directly to any item you inquire about. They will then help you determine what you need to purchase by inquiring about the specifics of your project. For the outside of the store, I'd award 2 stars. Most of the outdoor, nursery area employees seem to be FAR less qualified and knowledgeable. When I've asked for help outside I've had to search for an employee and then after finding one they've just directed me to other employees and it turns into a circle of questions with no answer. I find this annoying. Additionally, when I'm trying to purchase 10+ bags of soil conditioner (and the bags are heavy) I need an employee to assist in getting this on my cart and ideally into my car. After asking 4 employees for help I finally found a guy to load my cart, but I had to load my car. When I later came back to Lowe's for additional bags, I just loaded them myself because it wasn't worth the hassle of tracking someone down. Many of the nursery area employees also seem to know NOTHING about plants, so if you need help in determining what, when, or where to plant - don't come here. Overall, I'm usually inside the store and I love it there. But the outside seems to unfortunately be run by different management and the customer service provided in that area is unsatisfactory. Lowe's typically has reasonable prices, helpful indoor employees, and a fair return policy. I will continue coming here for most of my home improvement needs, because it is SO close to my home!
