Went to Ale Asylum last night at It. Was. Amazing. First off, the restaurant is really cozy for a brewery--my friend and I got a small table and it felt more like we were in a pub. Great lighting, great atmosphere. Ordered the Gold Digger beer and it was great. The food was absolutely delicious. Actually some of the best pub type food I've had in Madison. Ordered The Danny burger, a veggie burger that comes with chips and salsa on the side, and the Caprese appetizer. The veggie burger is certainly the best I've had in Madison. So flavorful, not mushy or falling apart, and topped with sprouts on a delicious bun. The caprese app was also delicious and had amazing pesto on the side. Service was good, laid back but attentive. Wish I lived close enough for this to be my regular.
