We have been going to the same vet for awhile now with our English Bulldog, however he had an issue that our vet couldn't do anything further about and referred us to a specialist. Well to be quite honest, the "specialist" was a joke and a complete waste of 300 dollars (and would have been a waste of 2000 if we would have done the testing that the simple xray would have shown) While sitting in the vet office of the specialist I called Legacy to see if they had the low level laser therapy. They did and I talked to the vet on the phone and he said they would make room for us to come in that day. Boy I am glad we did.
We did our consult with Dr. Muratore and immediately we knew we were going to be changing vets. He was no-nonsense, realistic, and was not trying to press extras on us to pad his pocket. With our dog we have always been conservative. Instead of automatically electing for surgery anytime something goes wrong, we try to handle it without (bulldogs are not the best for anesthetic) His torn ACL has been zero problem and we did not do surgery. Just months of rehab and being down, and it's been years. So when he said hold off on surgery and lets try the medicinal route and the laser treatment, we were gung ho. Of course if surgery was needed, that is what we would do.
When the xrays from our original vet came in Dr. Muratore was very simple with his approach, and made me even more glad we did not do CT scans and such. Our dogs problem was non-operable, and so we would just have to see how it played out. And we have. Day by day. We started out with a dog who couldn't move. Couldn't walk. Had no use of his back legs to even shuffle his position in bed and who was in extreme pain (panting, crying, yelping, and panicked) to a dog that can walk on his own, lift his leg, and definitely get himself around.
So, while not every situation is the same, we had fantastic results. We will be going to this clinic for the rest of our dogs life, and the life of the next one. I like not being fluffed with BS. I love the staff. Every single one has always been friendly (even when my dog who is old and grouchy is less than accommodating and delightful) and Anne always is so genuinely excited that our dogs condition has improved so much. I seriously love this place, their hours, their service, their honesty, and their staff.
