In my search for plus size bridal shops, I found this boutique on Yelp and instantly fell in love. I reached out and they got back to me almost immediately to provide more details.
I arrived here in late April 2018 to have "The Experience" of trying on wedding gowns. Being a "plus size" bride, I have tried on gowns before and it's been a challenge, both physically and emotionally. I normally wear a size 16, so you can imagine my concerns about trying on standard sample gowns ranging from size 6-8. When I voiced my concerns, albeit multiple times, they consistently reassured me this would not be an issue. Let me tell you, these ladies did not disappoint! The whole experience was 100% amazing. They made me, my family and friends feel warm and welcome. They were attentive to my needs and picked up on my non verbal cues or emotions in my moments of indecision.
I cannot stress how much fun we all had at my appointment. Even after 3 hours, I didn't want to leave! I don't want to say too much, because this is something you need to experience for yourself. I haven't shut up about Uptown Bridal yet, even now that I'm back home in Michigan. I will continue to recommend my friends, family and strangers to this place! They certainly know how to take care of you. And all of the little "extras" throughout the appointment, purely enhance the experience.
