This small boutique in Yorkville gives a really nice wedding dress experience. But somehow today I feel there could have been better service and not sure why it felt like we were over looked. Making an appointment was easy over phone, I did get there early and when 1pm rolled by, we had to wait about ten minutes. I did feel the attendant at the front was nice, but something was off. We had time to browse the dresses there. This is my 2nd bridal store, but I got the feeling this place is to get something truly unique and not your typical tiered white dress. If you like hand sewn embellishments and appliques, this is the place to go. Although the price point ranges from anywhere under $2k to over $20k, most of the dresses I pulled (and liked) was $4000-5000. There is a huge difference though. I could not complain that any of the dresses felt heavy, like in other stores where it weighed a ton to just lift it up. I guess that's the benefits of silk and a more expensive dress. I would have liked some choices that were more simple and more cheaper. When the consultant came, she asked me a few questions (but actually never about my budget), and in addition to the ones we pulled, suggested only 1 other. During the appointment, you can only try about 6 dresses, and you'd want to re-try others. You go upstairs to the change room, which was a nice big room for your 'panel' with a private mirror and just a screen in the back. This was a great change to the tiny rooms I've experienced. There was some cookies (that looked like it sat there all day, but not sure - she could have told us more). As we left, we saw a tray with Voss water and Perrier, and I am unsure if these were for us (who else would i be for) but we weren't told. The consultant was good in bringing accessories to add some dimension to the dress, which was nice because I never thought of it until she added things. However, she tended to choose things that were out of my price range (a bolero for $2700?!) or ones she didn't know the price of. It would have been nice to get a sense of how much these things cost. I found 3 dresses that I loved in my mom's price range. One of them washad a definitely wow factor. The other was elegant and simple.
