Ive read about Damas before, in many articles and it seems to be the top 10 of places to eat. by far the food was amazing, worth a visit. however, the service was just terrible. very slow, even though there were empty tables, and food comes out very slowly. The lentil soup was filling, and had such a great kick to it. at first it didnt seem spicy, but the spice and heat built up and it felt great in the back of my throat. i loved the touch of crunchiness that was in it. not to mention, it was a decent size. i ended up trying to the 4 meze dips as an entree, and was not let down. all 4 dips were truly the perfect texture, flavour, and size--although they put me into a coma. the beet dip was the most unique one, and id say my favorite. never had a sweet, mediterrean dip before. the pepper and nut dip was my second flavorite, it was thick but the crunch of the nuts is what i loved the most. my third favorite was the eggplant one, eggplant flavor was intense but also had a crunch and sweet and sour touch to it with the help of the pomergrante seeds thrown in it. what a nice flair! lastly, the the hummus. lets be honest here, the hummus dip was great, but compared to the other 3 this one didnt stand a chance.
