You would think when you have an estimate and someone comes out to your house and looks at all the items that were being moving that they would provide all the information to you. That there would be no surprises when moving day would arrive. Well let me tell you...First off - my "Visual Estimator" Mike Waldrup informed us all the padding, shrink wrap would be included in the price. "Leave all books in bookcase, files in file cabinet the movers would move it all." No problem. We asked if they took check or cash to which he replied credit cards only and we had to pay a deposit to make sure we were on the books for the move day we wanted. Moving day - Fred and his crew show up, nice men. Helpful, busted the move out. However, Fred went over paperwork with me, and SURPRISE #1 - if we use a credit card there is a 3% service fee on top of your total. SURPRISE #2 - Went through the house again with Fred to assess what was being moved. But now, books had to come out of all bookcases, files out of file cabinets. Using my OWN boxes to pack this stuff up to make it on the truck. SURPRISE #3 - at the end of the move - Fred told me that the total was $675.82, conveniently leaving out. That the trip charge was a separate and additional cost. SURPRISE #4 - When we receive our credit card statement 3 weeks after the move, we are charged $200 on top of the cost of the move with the 3% for a grand total of $703.44. This of course is different then what Fred told us when they were done. SURPRISE #5 - Then I review again the bill that was emailed to me - and what do I see charge for shrink wrap at $36.00 and 2 Boxes at $6.60. Extra cost of $48.20 now mind you I used MY OWN boxes - NO ONE TOLD ME THEY USED ANY EXTRA BOXES. When I call ALL MY SONS and explained all of this - their response was to refund the 3% credit card surcharge but not for the additional packing materials or the fact that we were again charged for something that they told us was included.
