Yet another taste of Taiwanese food in Langham Square. While ZenQ leans towards being a dessert establishment, they do offer entrees and various meal options. In the past, they were pretty standard set meals with pretty basic and mediocre choices for a reasonable price. As for the dessert, which they boasted to be some of the best, I had ordered a the super shaved ice. While it seemed appealing at first, with such an abundance of ingredients, it honestly became overwhelming. Between the peanuts, taro balls, papaya, red bean, tapioca etc etc it was just confusing to have a bit of everything. I was dissapointed to find that the only brown sugar flavoring on the shaved was a light syrup that left the surface with taste but nothing beyond that. As for the tapioca, the plum black tea was honestly a flop. Even at 30% sugar it was extremely sweet with almost no plum taste. The tapioca had poor texture. A little too pricey for the portions and quality that was presented. Wouldn't return when there are far better establishments that specialize in each of their menu items.
