The 1 star is not because of the actual hotel but because I never got to actually stay there!
Do NOT trust this hotel if you book online. I even confirmed my hotel room just hours before I arrived. Upon my arrival they told me there was no room for me, that I would have to go to the Ramada (in Tempe). I was running late for a conference and had hoped to check into my room and get ready, but was not able to. I finally found the Ramada late that evening after my conference and it was a NIGHTMARE. If they send you to this hotel, refuse. I never felt safe, the non-smoking rule was a joke (people hanging outside on the balconies smoking, cigarette butts everywhere) was kept up all night by someone with their TV too loud and management would do nothing. Needless to say, the price is tempting but I urge you please, do not trust it.
