I have been looking for a great cigar shop since moving to Charlotte about a month ago, and I think I found it in the 105 Cigar Co.
The location is great, and the humidor is the coolest I have ever seen. The shop is in a remodeled bank, and the humidor is in the bank vault, complete with vault door. I was impressed by the selection in the humidor. They also stock a wide range of lighters and other accessories.
The interior is very nice, and there are smoking areas for members and non-members alike. They also serve bottled craft beers, so I'm planning to hang around, have a smoke, and enjoy a beer next time I go. They also do cookouts and host other events, so I think I'll be coming by pretty often.
The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was greeted promptly after entering the store. The employee introduced himself, shook my hand, and showed me around. I told him some general ideas about what I was looking for, and he came up with some great recommendations. After making some recommendations, he left me to my own devices. He checked in on me and gave me a tray to carry my cigars around, but he was never intrusive and never hovered. The prices are good, and the icing on the cake was a nice Cohiba as a freebie.
Even though I have a few more cigar places to check out in town, I think I might just stop my search. I found what I've been looking for.
