It's my Birthday and my first day in the Queen City as a new resident. I convince my friends that we have to go check out Jake's Good Eats. After driving for a few miles we give up and decide to try somewhere else. Someone called out the name and I remembered reading some reviews on yelp about it...that would be our new destination for dinner. Please don't let the location turn you off...once you step inside you'll see how beautifully decorated the space is. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu helped guide is in our wine selection and food choices. We started off with a cheese plate...it came with some raspberry preserves. I asked for some pesto and pesto always takes cheese to another level. For my entree I choose the Swedish meatballs. They were great...seasoned just right with mashed potatoes and ligonberries. I loved it especially the gravy that came with the meatballs. My guests had the burger and they were unimpressed. I would go back because it is a lovely space and the food has a lot of potential.
