Let me start by saying that when I review a place, I review it based on value - what you pay for what you get. So if the place I'm reviewing provides a level of service that's in-line with what I pay, and they don't mess the service/product up, they get a good review. That being said, I wish Yelp offered 6 star reviews, because that's what I would give Salon Solis - they aren't as expensive as a very high-end salon, but you get high-end service.
- The staff is good at what they do. I came here after a very, very bad colouring job at another salon that destroyed my hair. I picked it because of the stellar reviews on google. My hair has slowly recovered, and I attribute that to how gentle they've been with it. I've finally started getting compliments on my hair again.
- They are very friendly and unpretentious.
- They are constantly checking up on you to see if you want a coffee/water/etc. They even serve wine now. ;)
- They don't push product on you, although I trust their recommendations and usually leave with something.
I think Salon Solis definitely deserves that 5-star rating on google. I've found a salon that I would go back to again and again.
And as an FYI: I see Kendall to colour my hair. She's absolutely awesome. But if she wasn't there, I trust this place enough to provide me with someone else who would be just as great. For haircuts, I've had multiple people here, and I have always been happy.
