This location has flyers for the Share the Merry special (buy one get one on holiday drinks); however, they don't honor the entire special. As a rewards member, I should be able to use the BOGO until 6 (as per the flyer), but this is simply NOT the case. When I pointed out that the flyer says rewards members receive an extra hour, the cashier told me "we're not corporate, so we can't do that." Why are they able to do the special at all, then? Honestly, customer service must NOT be in their vocabulary because what should have been said is "I'm sorry the flyer is misleading and we don't honor the printed special, but we will comp a drink for you this time for the misunderstanding." I usually stop in at this location the (very) few times I drive to campus instead of biking. My black coffee has been sweetened a number of times, but this interaction really drove the nail in the coffin for me. I will be sure to avoid this location and others on campus. I already avoid the Palo Verde East location because their manager does NOT wash her hands after using the restroom (while playing on her phone). EW!
