"Bait and switch" or just incompetence? Responding to an ad online about a 2016 Kia Soul (5100 miles and priced at $11,600...wow, that's right), I received a phone call from the Internet sales manager, Sal, and made an appointment to see the vehicle. About an hour before the appointment I received a phone call from one of the sales managers, Benny, to confirm. I drove all the way across town from Scottsdale and was told Sal was out sick... no problem, any sales person will do as far as I'm concerned. The reason for my one star rating is that I was told the vehicle was already sold. OK, I get it...I will give the dealership the benefit of the doubt and accept that I came too late to the party. But why didn't they call me to let me know and save me a cross town journey? Keep in mind that the sales manager call to confirm the appointment one hour prior! So either the sales management team does not know what vehicles have been sold (calling BS on that idea) OR it's a case of bait and switch... Not really legal in Arizona or pretty much anywhere. Do yourself a favor: don't waste your time with this either shady or incompetent dealership.
