This hotel seemed to get above average reviews on Expedia, but we were disappointed. The building we were in reeked of cigarette smoke. Our room was non smoking, but still had a bad smell to it. The air conditioning did not work very well and the bathroom fan did not work at all. The room itself and all the fixtures were in need of repair or updating. When we arrived, there was a kind-of-creepy, overly-tanned bald man sitting in front of the door sunning himself, smoking and perhaps drinking beer (I was trying not to stare but i did notice a garbage can full of beer empties). He was there the next morning also (does he live there?). The entry to our building was unlocked all night. We didn't feel very safe or comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good and the attendant did a good job of keeping the food stocked. The wifi also worked well for us, although it would be nice to get the code at check-in without having to call the desk. I think next time, we will spend a few extra dollars and stay elsewhere. Btw, a taxi from this location to downtown is way too expensive at $35 to $40. Take an Uber for $20 or drive yourself and pay the parking.
